Stuck?! Sketches April challenge

So back again as I said I would, this time to upload my layout for the challenge over at Stuck?! Sketches.

So this was the sketch to use

and this is my take on it, I had these photo's of myself and my nephew from December 2014 and wanted to use them as I'd already scrapped a layout with my niece from the same night.

So that's it for me today, I'm outta here as I need to have a shower, wash the towels and cook dinner before heading out to bingo tonight with mum. Just hoping our backs will hold out as mum hurt her's yesterday in the garden and mines aching from cleaning at work today. Bugger

Have a great week everyone and happy creating.

Aztec challenge @ D-lish Scraps

Good afternoon

I hope everyone had a safe and happy Easter, boy I can't believe it's been and gone already just like Christmas did. So I was lucky enough to have 3 days off so I got creative on Sunday & Monday and managed to get quiet a few challenges completed.

Back to work today but thought as I finished at 1pm I'd get back into my craft room and get these finished challenges uploaded.

So this was the sketch and mood board that we had to use over at D-lish Scraps

and this is my take on it

So this is something completely out of the box for me both with colour choice and design but I don't think it turned out too bad.

That's it for me for this post, back soon with another challenge entry to upload.

Shabby Chic challenge at All Dressed Up

HAPPY EASTER everyone

So here we are already in the beginning of April, boy where has it gone yet again?????

Well I've had a creative weekend this weekend, and it really helped having three days off. We've had a few family dramas over the last week but they are finally sorting them self out (I hope).

I had a wedding card ordered which had to be done before May so I thought this challenge was appropriate so I went online and purchased this beautiful Bride & Groom stamp, was a good excuse to buy a new wedding stamp too.

I will admit I like colouring wedding images as there isn't too much to do with the bride but the groom can certainly be a challenge.

This challenge is run over on their Facebook page, here is the link if you'd like to participate All Dressed Up.

So here is my card

I just love the way the colours work in this card and I generally only use pink in wedding cards as it isn't a fav of mine I'm more the blue/green/teal etc type of person.

The products I've used are

All Dress Up digi stamp
Bearly Mine Designs pp's (shop now closed)
I Am Roses flowers
Stampendous embossing powder
Robins Nest dew drops
Marianne Designs, Joy Crafts & Spellbinder Dies
Cremen Creations stamens, lace & metal photo corner

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

All Dressed Up - Shabby Chic

Crafty Catz - Anything Goes

Crafting By Designs - Anything Goes

So that's it for me for this challenge, will be back shortly to upload a few more posts due to getting through some challenges, cards & scrappin.

Enjoy the rest of your Easter break.

Monthly Challenge @ D-lish Scraps

So I missed last months challenges with being busy at work and also having a couple of short trips up to Port Macquarie to break the routine.

So when I saw the little kit for this months challenge over at D-lish Scraps I couldn't help myself but to order it and give the challenge a go and I must say I'm really happy with the results. I had to dig around my external hard drive to find all my old photo's and came across some from our 10th Wedding Anniversary which was now 4 years ago. So this was the challenge sketch and colour theme

I had been wanting to do something with yellow since I bough one of the new Kaiser paper ranges last month in Port. I really wanted a photo of myself in my funky yellow pants but have yet to get one but there is still plenty of paper left over so I'm still striving to get that photo.

So here is my take on the challenge

I did have a couple of extra close ups but my sim card is playing up in my computer and I have to manually take them off it as it's not automatically downloading.

It's certainly something a little different but I'm happy with it, I'm also pleased to have used one of my own crochet creations with the little mini pennants.

Happy crafting

So this is my third and finally post of the night

I'm outta hear asap as I'm now really hungry after a really big and busy day at work.

The sketch I've used along with the theme of "Tutti Frutti" over at D-lish Scraps is

And my creation

This time I had the perfect new papers for this colour theme by Becky Higgins and the other products I've used are Prima, Heidi Swapp, Freckled Fawn/Studio Calico, Basic Grey and the other crochet and fabric flowers are my own creations.

So thank you to who every pops in and has a look.

Nighty Nite

Scrappy Canary January Sketch Challenge

So back again

This time it will be a quick post as I'm so hungry and my dinner is in the microwave. This is the second of the three layouts I got done in my peaceful home and this one is of an amazing selfie of myself, hubby and my mum and I thought it would be perfect for the current challenge at Scrappy Canary. My mum really doesn't like having her photo taken but this is the best photo of all of us as we headed out for dinner on Christmas Eve. I got the most wonderful comments on Facebook about how happy we all looked, it was taken very quickly as I rushed home from work to quickly get changed as we thought that the club would be backed for Christmas Eve but when we arrived there wasn't a sole in the Bistro which was great for us.

So the sketch I've used is

This is my layout

I had just bought the best ever Christmas products from Heidi Swapp and couldn't wait to use them and I thought this photo would be perfect.

The other products I've used are Prima, Studio Calico, Teresa Collins, Doodle Bug, Carolee Creations, (mini alpha) & Simple Stories, unfortunately I can't remember who the badge is from but I love it and it fitted in so perfectly.

Finally some scrappin time

Well HELLO

It's been awhile since I've popped onto my blog but I finally managed to get some scrappin in on my weekend off at the end of the Christmas holidays and hope a peaceful house all to myself for the day on Saturday and it was bliss, hence getting three layouts done. Woo Hoo

The first one is a sketch challenge, as are the other two but this one is for Stuck for Sketches I had the most amazing selfie of myself with my niece while we had a quick trip up to the Twin Towns at Coolangatta to visit with my inlaws prior to Christmas. We took the whole family out for an amazing Chinese dinner at Twin Towns Club, probably the nicest Chinese meal I've had in a very long time.

The sketch I have used is

This is my result, I'm really happy with this layout and it was great getting to use some of my new products.

Unfortunately I've bought some much new product I can't really remember where everything comes from but the papers are either Heidi Swapp or Becky Higgins, some of the embellishments are Heidi Swapp & Prima but I can't remember who the wood veneer belongs to

I had a great time doing this layout.

Back shortly with my other two posts.
