Monthly Challenge @ D-lish Scraps

So I missed last months challenges with being busy at work and also having a couple of short trips up to Port Macquarie to break the routine.

So when I saw the little kit for this months challenge over at D-lish Scraps I couldn't help myself but to order it and give the challenge a go and I must say I'm really happy with the results. I had to dig around my external hard drive to find all my old photo's and came across some from our 10th Wedding Anniversary which was now 4 years ago. So this was the challenge sketch and colour theme

I had been wanting to do something with yellow since I bough one of the new Kaiser paper ranges last month in Port. I really wanted a photo of myself in my funky yellow pants but have yet to get one but there is still plenty of paper left over so I'm still striving to get that photo.

So here is my take on the challenge

I did have a couple of extra close ups but my sim card is playing up in my computer and I have to manually take them off it as it's not automatically downloading.

It's certainly something a little different but I'm happy with it, I'm also pleased to have used one of my own crochet creations with the little mini pennants.

Happy crafting

And my creation

This time I had the perfect new papers for this colour theme by Becky Higgins and the other products I've used are Prima, Heidi Swapp, Freckled Fawn/Studio Calico, Basic Grey and the other crochet and fabric flowers are my own creations.

So thank you to who every pops in and has a look.

Scrappy Canary January Sketch Challenge

So back again

This time it will be a quick post as I'm so hungry and my dinner is in the microwave. This is the second of the three layouts I got done in my peaceful home and this one is of an amazing selfie of myself, hubby and my mum and I thought it would be perfect for the current challenge at Scrappy Canary. My mum really doesn't like having her photo taken but this is the best photo of all of us as we headed out for dinner on Christmas Eve. I got the most wonderful comments on Facebook about how happy we all looked, it was taken very quickly as I rushed home from work to quickly get changed as we thought that the club would be backed for Christmas Eve but when we arrived there wasn't a sole in the Bistro which was great for us.

So the sketch I've used is

This is my layout

I had just bought the best ever Christmas products from Heidi Swapp and couldn't wait to use them and I thought this photo would be perfect.

The other products I've used are Prima, Studio Calico, Teresa Collins, Doodle Bug, Carolee Creations, (mini alpha) & Simple Stories, unfortunately I can't remember who the badge is from but I love it and it fitted in so perfectly.

Finally some scrappin time

Well HELLO

It's been awhile since I've popped onto my blog but I finally managed to get some scrappin in on my weekend off at the end of the Christmas holidays and hope a peaceful house all to myself for the day on Saturday and it was bliss, hence getting three layouts done. Woo Hoo

The first one is a sketch challenge, as are the other two but this one is for Stuck for Sketches I had the most amazing selfie of myself with my niece while we had a quick trip up to the Twin Towns at Coolangatta to visit with my inlaws prior to Christmas. We took the whole family out for an amazing Chinese dinner at Twin Towns Club, probably the nicest Chinese meal I've had in a very long time.

The sketch I have used is

This is my result, I'm really happy with this layout and it was great getting to use some of my new products.

Unfortunately I've bought some much new product I can't really remember where everything comes from but the papers are either Heidi Swapp or Becky Higgins, some of the embellishments are Heidi Swapp & Prima but I can't remember who the wood veneer belongs to

I had a great time doing this layout.

Back shortly with my other two posts.

Final Inspirational Post at Bearly Mine Designs

Well I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and is looking forward to the New Year.

I'm hoping that 2015 works out to be a better year then this one as it certainly wasn't the best and to be finishing with the closure of Bearly Mine Designs I can't wait for what 2015 brings.

So I decide not to finish off with a card but an Off The Page project, it's something I've had sitting in my craftroom I'm sure for a couple of years just waiting for the right time.

I've used my favourite sets of digital papers from Bearly Mine Designs - Mixed Media & Mixed Media 2 but as you are now all aware the store is closing on the 31 December 2014 so you better make sure if you want these papers to head on over there in the next two days otherwise they are gone forever.

Donna is currently having a huge closing down sale

so make sure you head on over to the shop before the 31 December 2014 otherwise you'll be kicking yourself because after then the papers will be gone forever.

Well that's it for me and my final post, I hope everyone has enjoyed participating in our challenges and seeing some amazing work from all the current and previous Design Team members.

Remember there is one final challenge running till the end of the month and it will be your last chance to win a prize.

Hope to see everyone around in cyperspace, but for the moment I will be having a break from designing to concentrate on some much needed work around the house and also because this is the busiest time of the year for me where I work and I'm usually exhausted after work and have nothing left to give.

Happy crafting.

Inspirational Post at Bearly Mine Designs

Hello my fellow crafters

I do apologise that this post is coming a day later, however I didn't see my girlfriend until lunch time today and I was doing everything possible for her not to see it online before she actually got the real thing.

As you've probably all seen by now we've had some very sad news here at Bearly Mine Designs that Donna has had to make a terrible decision to close down the store due to new VAT laws coming in on the 1st January 2015.

So here is my second last inspirational post and as promised I did something besides a card.

My BFF's birthday was coming up so I decided to have a look into an explosion card and boy was this a lot of fun to make.

I have used papers from the Mixed Media 2 range both on the outside and the inside, I just love this set of digital pattern papers.

So back to the sad note on closing down, for your benefit Donna is having a closing down sale commencing today so why don't come along a grab yourself a bargin while you can as after the 31 December 2014 they will no longer be available EVER.

The products I've used in this creation are

Bearly Mine Designs digital pp's
American Craft cs
WOC & I Am Roses flowers
Cremen Creations stamens, ribbon & charm
Stampin Up ink, die & sentiment stamp
Marianne Desings, My Favourite Things & Quick Kutz dies
Robins Nest dew drops

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges
